How Flyboard of Montana evolved into 406 Watersports in Whitefish, Montana
FLYBOARD OF MONTANA
Flyboard of Montana was founded over a decade ago and was in planning for about 5 years before that.
Flyboard of Montana was a dream, an idea based on all my experience I had in Whitefish, growing up and loving the outdoors.
Fishing, hunting, days on the lake, jet skis, nights under the "big sky" and everything else I experienced as a kid, a teenager, an adult and now all the things I am experiencing in Whitefish with my wife and 2 amazing children.
Coming across a flyboard is what inspired Flyboard of Montana to really take off, knowing that this exciting activity would be perfect for the lakes I grew up on.
FLYBOARDING - ZAPATA - MONTANA & PLAYA DEL CARMEN
After seeing a flyboard for the first time, I just had to get on one and after getting on one I just knew, this was what was missing in my life, and in Whitefish, Montana so I set out to getting one and as luck would have it, I not only found a few but I also has the opportunity to meet its inventor, Frank Zapata owner and inventor of Flyboard and a number of other watersport activity equipment.
After building up some rapport and showing mutual interests in building a business relationship, Flyboard of Montana was born and it has been quite a story since.
Getting trained and certified in Flyboarding and Flyboard Training went on its way, getting the equipment, going through the politics of getting a license and what not took its course and today we have been offering Flyboards and Training for Flyboard Businesses throughout the United States for over 10 Years.
Within those years we even established a flyboarding business in Mexico, located in Playa del Carmen in the Riviera Maya that is developing all on its own because it really is a fun activity that everyone can take part in, it's fun and safe for all ages and for the whole family.
FLYBOARD OF PLAYACAR
The thrill of visiting a new country is always exciting but the anxiety that accompanies setting up shop in a new country is entirely its own monster but as most legends of Scandinavia, Greece and the Rome, conquering monsters is just something that we do.
Just a few years into Flyboard of Montana, we decided to take a vacation and Playa del Carmen is where we landed for the first time and as soon as we saw the beach, we knew, there's something there, this is perfect Flyboard potential... so we got to work and 9 months later, Flyboard of PlayaCar was founded and has been running ever since.

Honestly, we've really come a long way since Flyboard of Montana. FBOM as it is known has inspired Flyboard of PlayaCar, teaming up with various hotels and restaurants throughout the Riviera Maya, Flyboard of Montana becoming a integral part of summertime fun for everyone living and visiting Whitefish, Montana and its lakes. I can really say, we've come a long way and we've evolved every year to bring bigger, better, safer and way more exciting activities to our customers and clients.
This is why offering more was the only thing we could do, bringing more to the table... more activities, more options, more fun! This is how Flyboard of Montana has expended, into a fully operational rental, training and watersports activities company and we are so proud to be part of the Whitefish, Montana community.
